Hello and welcome to the official website for the upcoming short film "Mirage."

My name is Sophie Penn and I am the Writer, Director, and Producer of this film. I am so excited to share with you the process of making "Mirage" from start to finish. As a film student at Syracuse University, this film will serve as both my thesis project in completion of my film degree, as well as a proof of concept for a future adaptation of the same story.

My team and I are committed to creating a high-concept, impactful film that pushes the boundaries of traditional storytelling, and we are thrilled to be tackling this project in a new and innovative way. To create the fantastical environments in "Mirage," we will be using cutting-edge VFX technology on a scale and budget that has rarely been done before in a student film. As one of the first of our demographic to fully utilize this technology, we want to document and share our process with others who may be interested in exploring the potential of this exciting new medium.

Through this blog, we will be sharing updates on the development of the film, behind-the-scenes looks at the production process, and insights into the challenges and triumphs of bringing a film to life.
